Our aim has been to provide the profession
with a variety of brushes that permits even
the faintest print to be developed with
minimal distortion. Each brush is supplied
in a clear plastic tube to assist in storage
and avoid damage to the bristles.
Series 2000 represent K9’s standard
range of animal hair brushes. Page 8 outlines
the overall brush length, bristle length
and diameter. All brush ends are dome shaped
and sizes 10/12 are ideal for the technique
known as ‘brushing out’.

The Zephyr style brush is made exclusively
for fingerprint purposes and is distinctive
in most crime scene cases. Shaped to pick
up and retain a supply of fingerprint powder
this brush is very effective when used with
a twirling, rotating motion, especially
on flat horizontal surfaces such as counter
tops etc.
The Original Fibreglass Zephyr
Not to be confused with any other fibre
glass brush on the market this is the finest
of its type.
Every brush is hand made from a thousand
fibre bundles each of these being composed
of over a hundred individual treated glass
filaments. To ensure softness any course
fibres have been removed and softness will
improve with use.
However, do not allow the ZEPHYR brush
to become damp with water, dew or condensed
moisture on cold bottles or cans. It is
for use with dry powders on dry surfaces.
Do not use on greasy surfaces.

K9 Squirrel Hair Brush
Custom made for K9 this deluxe brush is
styled on the zephyr with its ultra thin
handle but fibreglass filaments have been
replaced with super soft squirrel hair.
This same twirling technique can be used
and due to being animal hair is less disasterous
if it becomes wet provided it is left to
dry naturally.

‘BLOWER’ Brush
Designed for use when processing large
areas this applicator has its own powder
reservoir connected to a rubber puffer bulb
which when pressed doses the marabou feather
head. The heads are interchangeable but
the specific light bodied ‘blower’
powder must be used to avoid clogging.

Through our experience we now offer only
spring loaded magnetic brushes which allow
for examination of both vertical and horizontal

of powder.

Adjustable Magnetic Brush
This large format applicator is specifically
designed to cover large areas up to 3 inches
diameter with magnetic powder.
Its casing is made from anodized aluminium
with a self retracting head shaft. The inner
components are made of steel and contains
a neodymimium magnet. The two screw on disc
heads, one 2” and one 3” are
made of clear polycarbonate.
Its construction allows for the strength
of the magnet to be adjusted from maximum
to zero to reduce the risk of the powder
forming hard clumps that could easily damage
the marks.
